The Punchbowl Inn

My stay here was great! I stayed here 1 night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The breakfast was sensational and exceptional, with lots of meals.

The rooms were en suite and tidy, had a shower, a hairdryer and bath sheets in the bathroom. Everything was simply good.

Lovely view, pleasant bar - everything was very good. It was lovely stay, I didn't feel like leaving and will come back.

Atmospheric, fairly clean place with pleasant views. Savoury breakfast with plenty of delicacies and attentive staff.

The venue is quiet little, with excellent food and brilliant location away from the main tourist areas.

Overall best stay. Picturesque location and particularly good views. The room was perfect and light, I had iron/ironing board and television. Main bar was traditional!

Amicable staff, fresh made breakfast, exceptional service. The outdoor bar was spacious and the drinks were carbonated. Set really close to another pub, excellent road network to lakes /walks and a very quiet village in the such beautiful area. Also, Askham Hall Gardens and Cafe was just a short distance away.

Good choice for 1 night. We really enjoyed this hotel, including its ideal staff and food.

I enjoyed the ancient-style building and my regular double room. It was nice having balcony, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The location was OPTIMAL and the view was breathtaking, too. Food was exceptional and restaurant was absolutely particularly good. The service offered was welcoming too.

My double room and bed were large. Absolutely perfect location, 5 minutes' walk to church of st michael. The good service and attention to detail from enthusiastic staff. I had a just perfect stay and would stay here again, thank you.

Fab location, popular restaurant, accommodating staff and convenient decor. Lovely beds, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer were a nice touch. Perfect service throughout too.

All good - we loved our stay - food was fine and exceptional staff. Big size unit with a standard decor. Perfect location to church of st peter. Efficient services. The whole experience was very pleasant.

room was awesome the food was fabulous, 3 stars. plus, it has parking on-site. the hotel is in the lake district.

The property met the needs, we definitely coming here again. Comfortable beds were provided. The place is 1 km away from Askham downtown...

There was a wide array of food that was incredible. Honestly no complaints whatsoever;)))
